Jasmijn is a PhD student at Leiden University’s Institute of Security and Global Affairs. She holds a MSc in Political Theory from Radboud University. Her PhD research is on ethical cybersecurity within companies and is based on stakeholder theory and the ethics of care.

Jasmijn is a PhD student at Leiden University’s Institute of Security and Global Affairs. She holds a MSc in Political Theory from Radboud University. Her PhD research is on ethical cybersecurity within companies and is based on stakeholder theory and the ethics of care. As part of an interdisciplinary team (C-SIDE), Jasmijn is currently engaged in research on the topic of security by integrated design, where she is responsible for the part on corporate governance. Through her work, Jasmijn aims to shift the perception of corporate cybersecurity from being an expansive afterthought to an integrated part of business operations. Furthermore, she is involved in the course 'Ethics of Cybersecurity'.
