Giulio Levorato is a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden University and a member of the War, Peace & Justice research group at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs. His research focuses on conflict management and resolution strategies employed by a range of actors, including nation-states, international organisations, local communities, and armed groups.

Giulio Levorato is a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden University and a member of the War, Peace & Justice research group at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs. His research focuses on conflict management and resolution strategies employed by a range of actors, including nation-states, international organisations, local communities, and armed groups.
He has taught and conducted research at several institutions, including the University of Naples L’Orientale, the University of Genoa, the Universidad EAN in Bogotá, the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding, and Universitat Ramon Llull in Spain.
He is the author of several articles published in leading international journals, including International Peacekeeping, European Security, and Cambridge Review of International Affairs. He is also the author of the book Liberal Peacebuilding in Times of Change (Routledge).
