Gijs Dreijer (1992) completed his MA at Leiden University in 2017 and subsequently started a joint PhD degree at the University of Exeter (History) and the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (Law). From 2021 to 2025 het worked at the Leiden University for History as a postdoc in the NWO VICI project 'Exploiting the Empire of Others: Dutch Investment in Foreign Colonial Resources, 1570-1800' of Professor Catia Antunes. Currently he is a guest at the Institute for History for his work as Editorial Assistant of the journal Itinerario, published by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the Leiden University Institute for History.
