Giacomo is a (fixed-term) lecturer in moral and political philosophy at Leiden University. Prior to this, he was a British Academy postdoctoral fellow at the University of York, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the University of Hamburg, and a postdoctoral researcher at LUISS Guido Carli, Rome. His main areas of research are in contemporary moral and political philosophy, with a particular focus on theories of moral status and basic equality, and theories of relational equality and distributive justice.
