Floris Mansvelt Beck
Floris Mansvelt Beck (1974) is Assistant Professor in Ethics and Political Philosophy at the Institute of Political Science at Leiden University.
He has recently finished his PhD research, which looks at the Dutch debate on immigrant integration in the Netherlands through the lens of liberal political theory. Before becoming a PhD candidate at the Institute of Political Science at Leiden University, Floris studied Public International Law in Leiden, worked for the Netherlands’ national news agency ANP and for the Ministry of Agriculture as a government trainee. After a brief stint as a researcher in legal philosophy at the Law faculty in Leiden he spent two years lecturing in Public International Law at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam.
