Professional Experience
Ester is an ecologist with over 7 years of experience in wildlife research projects in Tanzania. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management from the College of African Wildlife Management, Mweka, and an MSc in Conservation Management of African Ecosystems from the University of Glasgow. Her work has primarily focused on wildlife ecology, disease ecology, and community-based natural resource management. She is currently a PhD candidate at Leiden University, contributing to the Curve Bend Project.
Research topic
Ester's PhD research focuses on biodiversity responses to collective actions in rangeland management, examining how collaborative land-use practices influence ecological outcomes in rangeland ecosystems.
