Emily (she/her) is a second-year CADS student from Japan and the student representative on the institute board. In this role, she brings the student perspective to meetings, organizes the September 2025 Programme Committee elections, and supports newly elected student members.
She is particularly committed to ensuring students can actively shape the study programme while trying to make sure no people nor perspectives are lost in that process. She enjoys studying anthropology as it is the perfect merge of her interests: People, society, history, and philosophy.
Pursuing the MMM track, she is looking forward to the new prospects that the courses offer, such as digital and visual anthropology. Outside her studies, she is passionate about live music and is always ready with recommendations for events and venues. She welcomes feedback and suggestions about the programme and can be reached via email or WhatsApp.
