Eleonora Dagienė is an external PhD candidate at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS), Leiden University, and is set to defend her PhD thesis on October 30. Her research focuses on bibliometric research, research assessment, higher education policies, and book evaluation practices, whilst advocating for open science principles and exploring book metadata sources.
Eleonora also has a strong interest in scholarly communication research. Prior to her PhD, she gained extensive professional experience in academic publishing, including leading a university press and publishing peer-reviewed journals and scholarly books for 12 years. She also served on the Crossref board and co-founded the Association of Lithuanian Serials. Since 2021, Eleonora has been a researcher and lecturer at Mykolas Romeris University, actively promoting open science practices. She shares insights from her research on her blog in Lithuanian.
