Bente De Graeve is a PhD candidate at the Leiden University Centre for Linguistics. Her PhD project is an ethnographic study of the different listening practices and ideologies at a regional citizens' assembly in Belgium. She is interested in how assembly participants perceive climate action within a democratic project, and how these ideas intersect with different ways of listening.
