Andika Putra is a lecturer at the Department of Environmental Law, Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and a contract PhD candidate at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance, and Society (VVI). He obtained his Master of Law (M.H.) with a specialization in Agrarian and Environmental Law from UGM in 2020 and LLM in Law and Globalisation at Maastricht University, the Netherlands in 2019 with the StuNed scholarship.

His PhD research, titled “Climate Change Narrative in Indonesian Court: Questioning the Role of ‘Climate Change’ as a Strategy in Indonesian Climate Litigation,” examines how climate change is used as a legal narrative and strategic argument in the Indonesian courts. The project will be supervised by Professor Adriaan Bedner and Dr. Lisa Harms.
