Mike is a researcher with a background in software development, digital health, web search, and artificial intelligence. His PhD project is aimed at evaluating AI tools in social sciences research, with a specific focus on meta-analytical studies.

Short CV
Mike started his career in technology in the early 2000s, holding senior product and communications roles at Yandex, one of Europe's largest internet companies. He founded and led several technology companies, including Metabar (acquired by Yandex) and Undermyfork, a digital health application for people with diabetes, where he initiated and co-authored clinical studies, including a randomized controlled trial conducted in the United States in 2023-2026.
Mike holds degrees in Computer Science (Moscow State Open University), Journalism (summa cum laude, Lomonosov Moscow State University), and Education and Child Studies (Research Master's, cum laude, Leiden University). His research interests sit at the intersection of artificial intelligence and research methodology: how AI tools change the way social science research is conducted, evaluated, and synthesized.
