There are six areas in the self-assessment questionnaire. Each area includes a number of questions, and your answers to these questions will generate a personalised report. The report will indicate the areas where the school is working well and the areas in which there is room for development. it also gives you access to relevant resources and recommendations available on the platform.
The tool is designed largely for primary and secondary schools. Professionals working in early childhood education settings are welcome to use it, however, some of the questions may not be appropriate for this context, and therefore some of the results may not be as relevant.
This self-assessment tool is based on the inclusion indicators identified in the NESET report Structural Indicators for Inclusive Systems in and around Schools. It was later updated with insights from the Guidelines on wellbeing and mental health at school elaborated by the European Commission’s informal expert group on enhancing supportive learning environments for vulnerable learners and for promoting wellbeing and mental health at school.
