This thesis mainly investigates the morphology and kinematics of galaxies hosting radio AGNs detected in the LOFAR Two-metre Sky Survey (LoTSS). We showed that galaxies with powerful jets have a rounder shape and weaker disc component. The radio jets of these galaxies also have a higher chance to be misaligned with the minor axis of galaxies. These works reveal the importance of the evolutionary path of galaxies to the jet-triggering process. A galaxy with a merger-dominated history would be a better breeding ground for a powerful radio jet.
