Final report incorrect name entries in criminal justice rulings (in Dutch)

In 2025, the Dutch Court of Audit found that since 2014 there have been hundreds of criminal cases involving potentially incorrect name registrations. This can lead to a variety of serious problems. Offenders may evade a sentence, or the enforcement of court rulings could get difficult, impossible or delayed. This project examines the legal obligations and powers of the minister of justice and the responsible agency (Justid/Matching Authority).
