Bringing Our Global Alumni Community Closer: The International Children’s Rights Alumni Board Begins Its Journey
Following the discussions that began around the 10th anniversary of the Master of Laws: Advanced Studies in International Children’s Rights, we are very pleased to announce that the International Children’s Rights Alumni Board has now been formally established.
The founding Alumni Board is composed of ten alumni from different cohorts, professional backgrounds and regions. We are delighted to see this new alumni-led initiative take shape and look forward to the opportunities it will create to strengthen connections across our international alumni community.
As the Board begins its first term, we invited its members to introduce the Board’s objectives and share the priorities that will guide its work from 2026 to 2028.
In the words of the International Children’s Rights Alumni Board:
The newly established International Children’s Rights Alumni Board is pleased to share more about its objectives and the priorities that will guide its work during its first term, from 2026 to 2028. As an alumni-led body, the Board will focus on four key areas:
- Strengthening connections: Building a connected alumni community through networking, global exchange and community-building.
- Encouraging professional exchange and collaboration: Fostering the sharing of expertise, experiences and opportunities among graduates.
- Supporting mentoring and career development: Creating opportunities for alumni to support one another’s professional growth and transition into professional life.
- Advancing international children’s rights: Encouraging alumni engagement with the Programme and collaboration with external partners to contribute to the broader field of international children’s rights.
An important part of the Board’s work will be to create regular opportunities for the alumni community to come together, such as organising regular meetings open to all alumni once every two years, providing a space to exchange, share ideas, discuss developments in the field and shape future alumni initiatives together.
We look forward to creating meaningful opportunities for the alumni together!
