LUC The Hague ranked as the best University College in The Netherlands

Leiden University College The Hague received the 'Top rated Programme' seal from the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2020 (Dutch University Guide). It is the seventh time in a row the Liberal Arts & Sciences programme focusing on Global Challenges is awarded the honorary seal.

Academic programmes with more than 75 points receive the seal from the Keuzegids. Out of 65 Bachelor's programmes, which received the top rated programme seal, LUC ranks second in the Top 5 in the overall ranking of all bachelor's programmes in The Netherlands.

Excellent Education

According to the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2020, university colleges in general offer excellent education with Leiden University College The Hague ranking the highest university college of The Netherlands. Prof. Dr. Judi Mesman (Dean of LUC The Hague) and Lieke Schreel (Educational Director) are very proud of this achievement:

The 'Top rated Programme 2020 ' seal

Total Score

With a total score of 92 points out of a possible 100, LUC The Hague came in first place. The international honours college of Leiden University is based in The Hague and scores outstanding on its professors, academic training, study programme feasability and expert assessment. LUC The Hague was founded in 2010 with support of the city of The Hague and now has more than 600 stdenten and nearly 1000 alumni.

The ‘Keuzegids Universiteiten’ (Dutch University Guide) is annually published by the ‘Centrum Hoger Onderwijs Informatie’(Dutch Higher Education Centre) and uses the results of the ‘Nationale Studenten Enquete’ (National Student Survey) combined with expert opinions of the most recent accreditation. The NSE is a large-scale, national study that yearly invites all students in higher education to voice their opnions about their programmes of study.
