University to strengthen collaboration with The Hague University of Applied Sciences

Leiden University and The Hague University of Applied Sciences are going to increase their teaching and research collaboration. They signed a collaboration agreement to this effect on 8 May.

The two universities plan to strengthen their collaboration in various areas. They intend to increase the range of master’s programmes that they offer and their research collaboration. They also aim to work together on student facilities and accommodation and developing a campus.

The two institutions will also work closely with the Municipality of The Hague because the aims in the agreement tie in with the priorities of the Educational Agenda for The Hague. With the agreement, Leiden University and The Hague University of Applied Sciences hope to ensure that the city benefits from knowledge in the region.

Leiden University opened its Campus The Hague at the end of the 1990s. The teaching and research in The Hague correspond with the profile of the city – city of peace, justice and security – and the other opportunities that the city has to offer. Around 4,500 students are currently studying in The Hague.
