Changes at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance and Society (VVI)
As from 1 February, prof. Adriaan Bedner will be the new Head of Department of the VVI.
On 1 March prof. Janine Ubink will start working as professor of Law, Governance and Development. Prof. Jan Michiel Otto, who has been director of the VVI since 1983 and professor of Law and Governance in Developing Countries since 1998, will retire on 3 April. His valedictory lecture has been scheduled on Friday 29 June. A farewell symposium will also take place on that day.
