Yvonne Erkens and Gerrard Boot speak in Prague on “working abroad"
Erkens and Boot were participants at the 21st Conference of the European Association of Labour Court Judges that took place from 8 to 10 June 2017 in Prague.
‘Working abroad’ was discussed during four technical sessions: the various aspects related to working abroad, and related disputes arising in labour law.
Topics dealt with included jurisdiction, applicable law, temporary deployment of workers abroad and the special position of international lorry drivers. Yvonne Erkens gave an introduction on the latter topic during the fourth technical session; Gerrard Boot chaired the technical sessions.
A questionnaire drawn up by Gerrard Boot, Iris Haanappel, Beryl ter Haar and Miriam Kullmann was used at the conference. The answers from the various countries are available on the website of the EALCJ.
