Maartje van der Woude on the advisory board of Oxford Law’s Border Criminologies
As of today, Maartje van der Woude (Professor of Sociology of Law, Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance & Society) has become a member of the advisory board for Oxford Law’s research platform Border Criminologies.
Based at the Centre for Criminology at the University of Oxford, Border Criminologies is an international network that brings together academics, practitioners, and those who have experienced border control from around the world to better understand the effects of border control and to explore alternatives. Through the network an impressive and diverse range of products is being produced in order to fuel the debates on border control: members are actively blogging about their research and current events, relevant scientific publications are being made available through the SSRN Criminal Justice, Borders & Citizenship Research Paper Series, events are being organized, etc. Besides with Leiden Law School, Border Criminologies has institutional partnerships with the Border Crossing Observatory (Monash University) and the Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law (University of Oslo).
