LUC The Hague Top Rated Programme 2016

Leiden University College The Hague is one of the best university colleges in the Netherlands

This is the conclusion of the annual ranking [in Dutch] in the Guide to Dutch Universities 2016 (Keuzegids Universiteiten). The bachelor’s programme occupies second place in the ranking, with a score of 92 out of 100 points. This means that LUC The Hague can now officially use the distinction ‘Top Rated Programme 2016’.

The assessment is largely based on the National Student Survey. The students were once again wildly enthusiastic about LUC The Hague. The programme scored far above average on nearly all criteria, as compared to the other nine university colleges in the Netherlands.

Outliers were to be found in the criteria [in Dutch] ‘content’ and ‘skills’, both of which were assessed as ‘+++’. These criteria relate to matters such as level, cohesion and testing of the teaching materials, but also learning how to construe an argument and solve problems.

The LUC The Hague programme is unique. With its focus on Global Challenges, LUC The Hague is the only Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts and Sciences to offer majors in peace, justice, sustainability, welfare and human diversity.

The Guide to Dutch Universities [in Dutch] is written for prospective students and is extensively used by schools, consultancy agencies and the assessed programmes themselves.
