Top rating for Biology at Leiden University
Biology is one of the four top educational programs at Leiden University according to the national “Guide to Universities” (Keuzegids Universiteiten).
According to the Guide to Colleges 2014, Leiden has four top programs: Biology, Astronomy, Greek and Latin language and culture and Biomedical Sciences. Leiden University holds a second place in the overall ranking of the broad, traditional universities, just after the Radboud University in Nijmegen. The Guide to Colleges has rated all programs under various criteria on a scale from 1 to 100. Programs with more than 75 points, have been awarded the seal ‘Advanced Training’. Leiden Biology received a high score of 80 points.
The Guide to Universities also provides a ranking made by comparing their programs in the same field. Leiden University provides the best education in the Netherlands in twelve fields. Also some of our partner institutes, for example, score really high: Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences had a top score on contact hours and expert opinion, while Life Science & Technology scored high on contact hours, content, scientific training, practice orientation and communication.
