Economic Anthropologist Erik Bähre talks on the Dutch News Radio Channel BNR about the effects of the Russia-Ukraine grain agreement for African countries.

Many African countries depend on grain imports from Ukraine says economic anthropology researcher Erik Bähre of Leiden University. Especially in East Africa, there has been a lot of drought and serious food problems. That is an acute problem. We have to realise that prices are not only rising in the Netherlands but also over there. For people with a small budget, that's very difficult.
