The Leiden Political Economy Group (L-PEG) is a multidisciplinary research network for scholars of (comparative / global) political economy based at Leiden University. We centre critical, comparative, and global political economy research.

History: Launched in 2015, L-PEG offers a platform for research development and knowledge dissemination in global and comparative political economy (GPE/CPE). As a network, we coordinate activities to build knowledge, generate new research ideas, collaborate, and strengthen research and teaching in GPE, and support junior scholars.

In December 2025, we held a roundtable reflecting on 10-years of highlighting political economy scholarship at Leiden.
