TTFA is a lecture series organised by and for African linguistics researchers at the Leiden University Centre for Linguistics. Its aim is to provide a platform for linguists to share their latest research. Researchers at any stage of their academic careers are welcome to present, and both completed and ongoing projects are encouraged. By bringing together scholars and students, TTFA fosters an environment for meaningful discussions and exchanges of ideas.

The lectures are held on Fridays from 15:00 to 17:00 CET on campus in Leiden, with a hybrid option available when possible. Each session features a 45–60-minute talk, followed by a Q&A. After the lecture, participants are invited to a casual gathering with snacks and drinks, offering an opportunity to socialize and network.
