Digital Archaeology Group series
The Digital Archaeology Group (DAG) is a student run organization that hosts monthly lectures on the use of digital methods and techniques in archaeology.
Lectures cover a wide range of topics dealing with digital archaeology. As such, the theme of the series allows for attendees to be informed about the wide range of possibilities achievable with digital methods applied to several regions from around the globe. Our presenters are drawn from students from the Leiden Faculty of Archaeology, the broader Dutch community of archaeologists, and beyond.
Alongside these lectures, the DAG also occasionally hosts workshops aimed at educating students at the Faculty of Archaeology on how to use a variety of digital techniques. For example, a ‘how-to’ on 3D modeling or a primer on Agent Based Modeling.
The DAG has already hosted many exciting lectures on digital archaeology. Please see the event archive or the Digital Archaeology Group Facebook page for more information.
