- Date
- Thursday 4 September 2025
- Series
- Culture and Politics Event Series
- Location
- Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Besides ambassadors appointed to foreign states, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs also has a number of special ambassadors dedicated to particular themes. One such position is the Ambassador for International Cultural Cooperation. The Ministry created this position in 1980 as part of its increased focus on culture as integral to Dutch foreign policy. As part of this Culture and Politics specialisation event, students will hear from the Dutch Ambassador for International Cultural Cooperation about a variety of current issues of concern under the rubric of Dutch international cultural policy. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session, so students are encouraged to come with topical questions as well as questions related to career prospects and preparation.
Culture and Politics Event Series
The Culture and Politics Event Series serves to expose students to further themes related to their specialisation as well as to possible future career opportunities for which their specialisation provides required knowledge and skills.
