Abstract
We have so much experience talking that considering expertise in speaking is hardly ever relevant after speech acquisition. In contrast, expertise becomes relevant when considering other modalities of language production, such as typing. In that case, one can wonder how varying levels of expertise are likely to influence language production processes. In this talk, I will present recent studies in which we examined how expertise impacts language production and novel word learning.
