This seminar will approach the topic of political meetings with the presentations of two historians of political culture. Josephine Hoegaerts (Helsinki University) will speak about 'Political (dys)fluency: vocal health and norms in practices of representation' and Theo Jung (Halle University) will discuss Quiet Eloquence: The Roles and Significance of Silence in Nineteenth-Century Politics’.

This seminar is organized in connection to the Ruling the Assembly workshop (organized by Henk te Velde, Anne Heyer and Anne Petterson) the following day Friday 21st in Amsterdam that is also open to PCNI members. For registration to the workshop in Amsterdam, please fill in this form.
