Leiden-Edinburgh Global Law: Public Interest Dispute Resolution and Advocacy
Programme 2025
The program consists of multiple modules, with each module entailing a three-hour learning divided into two smaller sessions.
Thematic Modules:
- Introducing Global Law: Frameworks and Actors (Dr. Letizia Lo Giacco, Universiteit Leiden, and Dr. Gail Lythgoe, University of Edinburgh)
- Transnational Food Governance: Markets, Movements, and Regulations (Dr. Matthew Canfield, Universiteit Leiden)
- Global Security Governance (Dr. Gavin Sullivan, University of Edinburgh)
- Global Governance and Regulation of Digital Labour (Dr. Morshed Mannan, University of Edinburgh)
- Climate Change Litigation: Views from the Practice (Ms. Louise Fournier, Legal Counsel on Climate Justice and Liability at Greenpeace)
- Private International Law and Climate Change (Prof. Olivera Boskovic, Université Paris Cité)
The course incorporates distinguished lectures given by Prof. Helen Duffy and Dr. Hab. Marcin Czepelak. As the day ends, there will be chances to engage in roundtable discussions focusing on the modules mentioned.
