Transfusion Medicine and Cellular and Tissue Therapies (MSc)
This joint two-year parttime Master's programme will equip you with the necessary competences to play a key role in the emerging field of transfusion medicine. Its current concept includes both the transfusion of classical blood components and hematopoietic transplants, but also cellular (e.g. as immunotherapy) and tissue therapy. These areas are all integrated in the curriculum of this Master's. You can follow this two-year parttime programme in English or Spanish and you can enroll every year (starts in October of every year).

The Master's Transfusion Medicine and Cellular and Tissue Therapies is a collaboration between Leiden University (LUMC) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. By following this programme, you will acquire and develop specific competences in analysing and applying the latest advances in classical transfusion medicine and cellular therapies. These include competences related to donor assessment and management, technical-process design, identification of quality indicators, selection of blood components for clinical use, laboratory diagnostics, cellular therapies and activities that support scientific knowledge in the area and that are complementary to the teaching programme.
