Xiaoyan Jiang is a Visiting Scholar in LIACS. She is an Associate Professor in Shanghai University of Engineering Science since 2020.01. She got her doctor's degree in computer science from Friedrich-Schiller University Jena, Germany in 2015. She has published 60 publications in the field of computer vision and artificial intelligence. She serves as the Associate Editior of Applied Intelligence (IF: 3.9) since 2024.

I am an Associate Professor in the field of Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence. I am good at analyzing existing problems and proposing effective solutions based on the domain knowledge. I keep studying the state-of-the-art models and form my own understandings of the trends of AI. I have 60 publications including top journals and conferences. I have the experience of leading several projects in three application domains: inspection robots including localization and visual analysis, image/video-based object re-identification, and medical image segmentation and diagnose chatbot. I am interested in exchanging ideas with exports in interdisciplinary subjects.
