Previously, he had completed his Masters in International Relations and Diplomacy (MIRD) at Leiden University. Thesis: It’s Raining Riyals and Rubles: The impact of remittance on poverty in Asia.
Before joining the institute, Vishwesh was a research assistant at Migration Observatory at the University of Oxford. In the capacity as a research assistant, he has also been associated with projects done at the Leiden University Institute for Area Studies (LIAS), the Clingendael Institute and the Sen Foundation.
His research interests include India/China foreign policies and migration and development.
