Dr. Violet Benneker is a political dialogue and conflict mediation expert. She approaches her work on dialogue from both an academic and a practitioners’ perspective. She has completed a PhD at Leiden University on political dialogue about contested human rights.

She currently works as Lead Advisor on dialogue and mediation for an NGO that facilitates political dialogue around the world; from Myanmar to Ethiopia, and from Colombia to the Dutch Caribbean. At Leiden University, she teaches her own master’s course ‘Political Dialogue for Conflict Resolution and Stable Governance’.
