I am an anthropological linguist and lecturer in Persian. I specialize in the relationship between language, culture, and society, with a focus on Iran. My background includes the cultural and linguistic history of Iran. I research linguistic diversity, especially among nomadic communities and minority groups such as Kurds, Baluch, and Lurs. My work addresses multilingualism, mother tongue issues, and the role of language in shaping identity and social belonging. I aim to make complex cultural and linguistic questions understandable for a broad audience and connect them to current social developments. Journalists can contact me for commentary on language and society in Iran and within Persian-speaking communities. I provide context on linguistic diversity, minority languages, multilingualism, and mother tongue debates. I can also offer analysis on how language relates to identity, migration, integration, and public discourse.
