Sangar Paykhar is lecturer in Strategic Communication at the Honours College, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, and policy advisor for AI Risk and Compliance at Leiden University. In his teaching role, he guides honours students in strategic media engagement and leads the Changemakers Lab, where students undertake projects addressing societal challenges. As policy advisor, he develops governance and compliance frameworks for artificial intelligence integration in higher education.

Paykhar holds a BSc in Public Administration and an MA in Media Studies.
