Ruchella Kock researches the intersection of neuroscience and machine learning.

Research on neural processes of behavior

She is currently working on her PhD, building a framework for studying the neural processes underlying real-world behavior, using everyday smartphone interactions. These interactions exhibit diverse behavioral patterns that evolve over time, such as transitioning from fast, consecutive interactions to slower, intermittent ones. Brain activity related to these behavioral dynamics can be captured via EEG. These brain signals are explored in her PhD, from multiple perspectives ranging from time and frequency domain.

Ruchella Kock completed the International Bachelor in Psychology (IBP) at Leiden University followed by a Data Science master's degree at the University of Amsterdam.
