Rick van Well
Rick van Well is a lecturer at the Institute of Political Science.
Rick van Well completed a Bachelor in Political Science (2016) and a Research Master in Political Science and Public Administration (2018) at Leiden University. His thesis ‘Explaining Modes of Executive-Legislative Relations: Empirical Evidence from Dutch Local Councils’ was rewarded with the Research Master Thesis Award and the Jan Brouwerscriptieprijs Maatschappijwetenschappen.
His research interests are political representation, parliamentary behaviour, executive-legislative relations, electoral behaviour and local politics. In addition to his work for Leiden University, he works as a researcher at ProDemos - House for Democracy and the Rule of Law.
