Short CV

Michael Vliek obtained his PhD at the University of Amsterdam (2009), where he worked as assistant professor until 2016. He then moved to Germany and cofounded the behavioural consultancy Praktitektur, while also lecturing at different universities on the topic of behaviour change. Since 2020 he is a lecturer at the unit of Social, Economic and Organisational Psychology of Leiden University. His passion lies in education and knowledge sharing: he is co-author of several textbooks on applied (social) psychology and behaviour change, and works as knowledge valorization staff member at the recently founded Knowledge Centre for Psychology and Economic Behaviour (www.kcpeg.nl).
