Lu Cao has a background in Computer Science. Her research focuses on high-throughput imaging, image and data analysis. Before joining LIACS, she worked in Cytocypher B.V. as an image and data analyst. In 2017, she worked in the Department of Applied Stem Cell Technologies (AST) at the University of Twente as a postdoctoral fellow. Between 2014 and 2016, she worked as a postdoc researcher in the Department of Anatomy and Embryology, Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). She received her PhD from Leiden University in 2014.
