Li Lorian (1987) is a graduate of the School of Visual Theater in Jerusalem (2011) and of the Institute for Applied Theater Studies at Gießen University (2020), where she obtained her MA in Choreography and Performance. Her studies were supported by a full fellowship of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Lorian examines Jewish cultural connections between body, text and the act of reading and explores performative means of diasporic living. Her work questions existing modes of sovereignty, and is looking for the imaginative potential of the performance-space to extend beyond given realities.
