Forough Sajadi is is a guest researcher at the Institute for Area Studies. She is an art historian specialized in Islamic art, and in particular Persian miniatures. She is currently conducting her research titled 'Persian miniatures in Dutch museums, public and private collections'.

CV

Dr. Forough Sajadi studied at Warsaw University and received her Ph.D. in Art History focusing on the link between Netherlandish art and Persian painting during 1588-1722. She conducted her Ph.D. research in the Rijksmuseum (2018-2019), as the Andrew W. Mellon Research Fellow, and as an invited lecturer at Asia and Pacific Museum (2015). Moreover, Forough worked as a lecturer on 'The History of Persian painting' at the University of Warsaw (2015-2017). Since June 2021 she is working at Leiden University, Area Studies (LIAS) as a visiting Scholar, where she carries out her research titled 'Persian miniatures in Dutch museums, public and private collections'.
