Floor van Dalen is a junior researcher and PhD candidate in the Violence and Violence Prevention research group at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs. Her research focuses on the role of domestic violence in cases of women who have died by suicide in the Netherlands. This project expands the current Femicide Monitor by also examining other fatal outcomes of violence against women. Through the analysis of forensic reports, interviews with bereaved relatives, and statistic microdata, the project aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of this phenomenon in the Dutch context.
