Céline Richard is Data Manager for the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (FSW). Céline supports the faculty during the development, implementation, evaluation of the research data management policies and in creating a faculty network for data management. She works in collaboration with the Data Stewards of the Institutes, the SOLO office and the Center of Digital Scholarship to provide trainings related to research data management and to help and advice students and colleagues on any research data-related topic such as Data Management Plans, Publication Packages, data monitoring, preregistration, data storage and sharing, pseudonymization / anonymization,… She is passionate about helping the faculty, its researchers and students to work within the framework of Open Science by facilitating the implementation and use of FAIR data (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable).  

Background

Céline has experience as a publisher for research journals, including data and software journals. She was especially interested in software peer-review, searchability, reuse and archiving (platforms, version control, metadata, etc). Before working in scientific publishing, she was a researcher in Surface Science, a multidisciplinary field at the frontier of Physics, Chemistry and Materials Sciences. She completed her PhD thesis in Physics, in Paris, France in 2011. Her publishing and research positions led her to live and work in the Netherlands, Australia and France.
