Anouk Roeling is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Political Science. As part of the NWO-funded Gravitation (Zwaartekracht) program Adapt!, she focuses on crisis detection. Her research is on the success factors of recognising a crisis at an early stage. She holds a MSc in Urban Sociology and a MSc in International Development. For the last eight years she worked in the resilience domain, where she focused on crisis and disaster management, societal resilience, urban resilience and anticipatory action.
