Anne-Martine Gielis is the team lead of the Science Teacher Support Desk (team SEEDS) and Student Services of the Faculty of Science and a member of the management team of the department Science Eduational and Student Services (SOSZ in Dutch).

After extensive experience as a first-line and second-line support employee and advisor for the use of E-learning tools (ICT in Education Advisor) at the Interfacultaire Lerarenopleiding of the University of Amsterdam, Anne-Martine started in 2014 as an ICTO advisor at the Faculty of Science at Leiden University.

Gradually, a modest ICTO department grew at the faculty and the team name SEEDS was adopted: Science E-learning and Educational Development Support. In 2020, the team was expanded with educational consultants and in the following years, the expertise also grew further. SEEDS became a household name within the faculty, partly because of the help for online and hybrid education in times of covid-19 lockdowns.

In her role as team leader of SEEDS, Anne-Martine is a member of the university Expert Group ICTO and is a member of sounding board groups of various university projects on the digital learning environment.
