Applied multivariate data analysis

-

Working as a statistician or data analist generally has two components:

  1. Method development: Developing new methods or adaptating and extending of existing methods.

  2. Research consultation: Assisting applied researchers with their (multivariate) data analysis. This consultation task is an essential part of the work of the statistician and it plays a key role in the development of substantive research as well as the statistician's own expertise.

Content

This project consists of two types of activities:

  1. Educational/tutorial oriented work: Creating awareness by applied researchers the power of multivariate (categorical) data analysis can have for answering their (more complex) research questions.

  2. Improving and extending statistical practice: Applying multivariate (categorical) data analysis in practical research, primarily in collaboration with applied researchers. Details of this research can be gleaned from the publications.
