How do we address the pressing challenges posed by large-scale networks?
- Frank den Hollander
NETWORKS is a consortium of 11 researchers from 4 institutions: University of Amsterdam, Center for Mathematics and Computer Sience in Amsterdam, Eindhoven University of Technology, Leiden University.
The NETWORKS consortium focusses on modeling, understanding, controlling and optimizing networks that are complex and highly volatile.
It brings together researchers from stochastics and algorithmics, and runs for a period of 10 years. At any time, it will support 25-30 positions for PhD-students, postdocs and assistant professors. It will further maintain an extensive workshop and visitor programme, develop a teaching programme, and organise outreach activities.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and administered by NWO.
