Hippocampus - A collaborative infrastructure for AI-Driven Science
This project will transform OpenML, a platform for sharing and creating datasets and AI models transparently and collaboratively, into a next-generation open science infrastructure.

It will interconnect major Dutch and international data and computing infrastructure and help scientists across disciplines create AI models from anywhere. Much like the brain’s hippocampus organizes our memories, this platform will organize and store our collective datasets, models, and evaluations, and ensure they can be easily retrieved, reused, and trusted. It will actively engage with scientific communities, facilitate collaboration, and stimulate open, reliable, responsible, and reproducible AI-powered research.
