Mette Kamerich appointed as assessor in the Faculty Board
The Executive Board has appointed Mette Kamerich as the assessor and student member of the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Humanities. The appointment is for the period from 1 September 2025 to 1 September 2026, and she will therefore succeed Nova Verkerk in this role.

The assessor represents students’ interests in the Faculty Board and is responsible for contact with students within the faculty’s various consultation bodies.
Mette is a student in the BA English Language and Culture programme. Before that, she was enrolled in the BA International Studies between 2021 and 2022. She is also a member of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Humanities. From 2022 to 2024 she was a board member of BASIS, the International Studies study association in The Hague, as the secretary. At present she fulfils the role of External Assessor for the Albion Association, the English Language and Culture study association.
Mette is looking forward to start work as the assessor: ‘I’m really enthusiastic about being the link between students and the Faculty Board. In these uncertain times, I aim to work for clear and open communication, a stronger connection between the campuses in Leiden and The Hague, and ongoing support for students and study associations during the changes in higher education. In my new role, I especially hope to be an accessible point of contact: everyone will always be welcome if they have questions or would simply like a cup of tea.’
